AppId is over the quota
For the past months, I have been working on mind fusing imagination. In the process I have often stopped and thought about where my inspiration comes from. Your everyday life experience furnishes the story of the time you have spent in the vast universe. Your muse can be found in something as simple as the light reflecting on a blade of grass. Even from the complex explanation of the String Theory. It is always present, whether you notice it or not.
Inspiration should not be a struggle for an artist. Even if you are not an artist, you do take your inspiration into consideration in your daily work or personal life. It is all around us. If you try to force it, the result will not be sincere, and the people who follow you, will notice it. Here is something you can try, and I constantly do. Sit down and look around you, open your mind to the surroundings. I am always surprised at what stimulates my song writing, it is instantaneous. An object or image triggers a phrase, a melody, a chord progression. I pick up my guitar and there I have it, a new song. I do not know where this song will take me. Will I complete this parcel of music? Will I use these chords with another track? This is what inspiration gives you. It opens up all sort of possibility for your art. So often I get an idea for a new track and then discover that it generates a new idea and so on. OPEN YOUR MIND!
Be ready when it hits. So often, inspiration hits me in odd places. How many times I scribbled on a napkin, some new lyrics. Be conscious of all the different ways you can capture that inspiration when it hits. What is it worth if you cannot capture your muse. I use all sorts of tools. I found myself humming some crazy line will driving down the highway. I stopped by the side of the road, pick up my iPhone and recorded what I was humming. A few days later, I sat in the studio and listened back to what I had recorded on my phone that day. This simple take evolved into a new track that was arranged into a finished song.
What inspires you? Just take the time to think about it. A world of possibilities will be generated from this. We all need to be inspired in our everyday life. Can you see yourself walking through each and every day without being inspired? I do not think so. Inspiration will feed your mind and your soul. Open yourself to it.
